Prarie Warbler

"Zzzz" a melodious tone ascending into a pyramid.

Bold lines comprise his Lores.

Whiskers define a face mask of sorts.

He draws you close, showing his olive complexion.

A chestnut red patch, if he dare turn his back.

Subtle black upon his wings.

High a top a lofty tree, a concerto he sings for me.

Retrieval meant Cuban coffee at the laundromat. Seeing now, a wink, a smile, nodding approval of our shopping spree. Combing racks
